Explore the beauty
of a Mid-America Lawn…There are many factors that set us apart from other lawn care companies but the most important is our personnel.
We don\’t have a bunch of young kids applying fertilizer and weed control; we don\’t have grass cutters cut your lawn and then apply fertilizer and weed control. All of our lawn care personnel have years of experience taking care of lawns in the St. Louis area and all of our applicators are licensed by the State of Missouri and follow all EPA guidelines.
Our lawn care program actually covers 6 applications (5 applications for zoysia or bermuda lawns) early and late spring, early and late summer, and early and late fall. The first and second applications contain pre-emergent crabgrass control, fertilizer, and broadleaf weed control; the third and fourth applications contain fertilizer, broadleaf weed control, and iron; the fifth application contains fertilizer and broadleaf weed control; and the sixth application contains fertilizer for winter feeding. This is our regular program, but we also can tailor a lawn care program just for your lawn.
If needed, we can provide insect control for grubs, chinch bugs, and any other pests or fungicide for any disease that may appear in your lawn.
Your lawn care estimate and lawn analysis are free at this time. In addition, we will provide lawn care specials for new customers.

| Spring Clean-up | During March, we remove leaves, twigs, fallen branches, and rake gum balls to prepare your lawn for spring growth. At this time we could also trim the shrubs if they weren’t trimmed in late fall. This is also a good time to cut back ornamental grasses if that hasn’t been done yet. Included in the spring clean-up is grass cutting if the lawn needs it and if it isn’t too wet. |

| Aeration |
Lawns should be aerated every year either in the spring or fall. Aeration is particularly beneficial when soil compaction is a problem. Compacted soils produce shallow-rooted grass that is vulnerable to insects and disease. When we aerate, we use a core aerator that pulls plugs of grass and thatch from your lawn. The soil plugs are left on the lawn surface to gradually break down into the turf. Aeration will increase the absorption of water, oxygen and fertilizer into the soil and it helps control thatch build-up. After we aerate, the existing root system will expand and allow for healthier growing grass. |
| Gutter Cleaning | Gutter Cleaning is inexpensive and necessary to prevent damage to your home. Gutters are put on homes to make sure rainwater and melted snow properly drain away from the foundation of your home. If gutters are not cleaned, leaves and small branches will clog gutters and any ice build up will damage roofs and eaves. |
| Mulching |
Mulching is done to help keep moisture around plants, shrubs and trees longer. In addition, mulching can help reduce the risk of damage to trees by lawn mowers or grass trimmers. It’s also useful in covering areas of the lawn that will not grow because of too much shade or other issues such as erosion. We usually mulch in the spring to give a fresh look to your grounds, but mulching can be done at any time during the year to freshen up the appearance of the lawn. We generally use a twice-ground, dark brown, hardwood mulch and apply it to existing mulch beds, but if you prefer, we can get black mulch or several other different colors of dyed mulch for your beds. When we mulch, we can dig a trench around the mulched areas to better define where the lawn ends and the landscaped beds begin. We can also remove some old mulch if it has become too thick. |
